ETEA is the monitoring and supporting body for emerging tourism enterprises. The establishment resulted from the need of an organization which provides the necessary assistance and support to the challenges faced by emerging tourism business in Namibia.

Prior to the establishment of ETEA; Namibia did not have an institution that caters for the specific needs of an emerging tourism business in the tour operating, tour facilitating and activity operator's categories. ETEA is registered with FENATA and is recognized by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism. The aim is to compliment the overall tourism sector and thus the membership with the existing tourism bodies is of essence to ensure success of ETEA and to be recognized as a provisional body.

• Full Membership: Tour operators, activity operators and tour facilitators
• Provisional Membership: Tour operators, activity operators and tour facilitators
• Affiliate Membership: Travel Agents, Hunting Safaris, Car Rental, Shuttle Services, Booking Agents and Tourism related institutions
• Associate Membership: Bodies, Societies and Associations and Organizations engaged in the promotion of tourism to and within Namibia
• Corporate Membership: Commercial Enterprises that provides the services to the tourism industry but whose main business is located outside the tourism sector.

• To enforce integrity, professionalism & business ethics among emerging tourism enterprises.
• To source new markets for potential business ventures for members
• Lobby financial and private institutions to invest in emerging tourism enterprises
• To promote domestic tourism awareness

• To be a leading professional body promoting sustainability and profitability of emerging tourism enterprises
• To be the voice for emerging Namibian tourism enterprises

To contribute to broad based tourism and empowerment of emerging tourism enterprises through:

• Application fee of N$100.00
• Any business which has been in operation for less than 10 (ten years) but still with no or little market access
